Materials Development Specialist

Our client is a world-renowned leader in manufacturing glass products for various industries, including architecture, automotive, and technology sectors. They are at the forefront of decarbonisation efforts, incorporating green electricity into their processes and implementing innovative carbon capture technologies. A recent hydrogen firing trial has opened up exciting opportunities for growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for key roles in glass lamination product development, including practical site-based activities and theoretical work. They will develop and assess the performance of new lamination products using specialist analytical equipment and oversee the service and calibration of laboratory equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a Science or Engineering degree with laboratory experience. Practical knowledge of glass products and processing is advantageous, as is knowledge of spectral measurements and/or weathering tests.

Location and Commute

The estimated annual salary for this position is £31,625 - £36,875 depending on experience.
