About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Rehabilitation Support Worker to join our established inpatient team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with activities of daily living, promoting recovery and well-being, and empowering patients to self-manage and maximize their independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support nursing and therapy teams to facilitate rehabilitation in an inpatient environment
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal care, dietary and fluid intake, and continence management
  • Work alongside nursing and therapy teams to deliver care that supports patients to gain as much independence as possible
  • Support end-of-life patients and their families
  • Participate in clinical governance and contribute to an environment conducive to effective working
Requirements
  • Previous experience of working in a health or social care environment
  • Awareness of the needs of older people
  • Good interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to listen
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work all shift patterns, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays
