Lead Theatre Practitioner

Circle Health Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Theatre Practitioner to join their team in the Theatre department. As a key member of the perioperative care team, you will be responsible for delivering safe and high-quality care to patients during their surgical journey.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of theatre practitioners, coordinating staff training needs and resource requirements.
- Assist in the delivery of patient care, ensuring that patients receive safe and effective treatment.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care.
- Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others, promoting best evidence-based practice within the perioperative function.
- Apply and promote legislation, policies, and procedures correctly, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act, ensuring that appropriate measures are taken to protect patients, staff, and visitors.
- Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in coordination, ordering, first assistant, mentor, and overview of leading other.
- First surgical assistant certificate.
- Additional skills in recovery and anaesthetics.
- ILS.
- Mentorship qualification.
- Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
- Proficient in the use of a PC, including software and systems.
- Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.
- Experienced practitioner with experience of managing general surgery and ENT.
