Fusion People Ltd is one of the largest multi-discipline building design consultancies in the North of England, offering a broad range of services in Building Surveying, Civil & Structural, Highways, and Drainage Engineering.

Job Summary:

The company is seeking an experienced Technical Risk Manager to lead a team of hydraulic modelers and engineers, establishing best practices and driving innovation in flood risk management. The successful candidate will produce and run 1D/2D hydraulic models, Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Alleviation Schemes, and Drainage Strategies on a wide range of schemes.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Degree in one of the following disciplines: Geography, Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalent
  2. Membership with CIWEM or working towards membership
  3. Ability to manage project delivery and provide leadership
  4. Proven record delivering Flood Alleviation schemes, Flood Risk Assessments, and Drainage Strategies
  5. Proficiency in engineering software tools, such as Autocad, QGIS
  6. Proficiency in Hydraulic Modelling software such as Infodrainage, Flow, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller
  7. Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
  8. Strong leadership skills such as mentoring and team building
  9. Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  10. Full UK driving license
