Technical Risk Manager

A leading Building Design Consultancy in West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire or Cumbria is seeking an experienced Flood Risk Specialist Lead to join their team. As a key member of the company's multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering flood risk assessments and hydraulic modelling projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of flood risk management principles and practices, as well as experience working with government agencies, local authorities and private sector clients.
The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team of hydraulic modelers and engineers, establishing best practices, driving innovation and contributing to the success of projects related to water systems and infrastructure. They will produce and run 1D/2D hydraulic models, Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Alleviation Schemes and Drainage Strategies on a wide range of schemes.
To be considered for this role, you will need a degree in one of the following disciplines: Geography, Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalent. You should also have membership with CIWEM or be working towards membership. Experience in project delivery and leadership, as well as proficiency in engineering software tools and hydraulic modelling software, is essential. Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation, are also required.
