Job Title: Senior Information Analyst - Risk Management

Location: Harrogate, North Yorkshire

Salary:£26,106 - £31,296 per annum (Scale 4-5)

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Information Analyst to join our Offender Management Unit as a Senior Information Analyst - Risk Management. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in identifying risks and analysing information to help manage high-risk offenders in our communities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and provide timely, accurate and reliable briefing items, including completing pre-visit police checks on Multi-agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) offenders and other high-risk issues.
  • To provide information to Public Protection colleagues and partner agencies, being a point of contact for local and national enquiries in respect of the Violent and Sex Offender Register and MAPPA offenders.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality services to support offender management and public protection objectives.
  • To analyse data and information from various sources, identifying trends and patterns that inform decision-making and risk assessment processes.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree in a relevant subject, such as Criminology, Sociology or Psychology.
  • Proven experience of working in an analytical role, preferably within a law enforcement or criminal justice environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and external partners.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Awareness of risk assessment processes and willingness to achieve national accreditation.
