About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Team Leader to join our dynamic SACT day unit at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality specialist nursing care to our patients and coordinating the overall management of the unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high standards of specialist nursing care to patients
  • Coordinate the overall management of the SACT day unit
  • Facilitate education and support for qualified and unqualified staff
  • Participate in the development of nursing practice in the clinical area
  • Work independently and autonomously, accountable for own professional actions
  • Deputise and support the ward Sister as needed

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with current registration
  • Experience in oncology or haematology nursing
  • Accreditation in SACT or equivalent
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
