Job Opportunity: Examination Invigilator

We are seeking reliable individuals to join our pool of invigilators for University examinations. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth running of exams, allowing students to perform their best.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Setting out examination papers and supporting materials
  • Assisting students entering the exam room
  • Ensuring adherence to procedures and regulations during the exam
  • Collecting examination papers and materials at the end of the exam

Examination Sessions:

The main examination periods include Semester One, Semester Two, and Resit sessions. Exams take place from Monday to Saturday, with most sessions starting at 10.00am or 2.00pm and lasting between one and three hours. You will have the opportunity to nominate your preferred exam dates and times, allowing you to balance this role with other work or commitments.

Working Conditions:

Invigilators are required to arrive 1 hour and 30 minutes before the exam and may finish up to 1 hour after the exam ends. They will be paid an hourly rate for the entire duration of their work. Before their first session, invigilators will attend a training session. Exams typically take place at The King's Centre (Osney Mead) and Headington Campus, with occasional events held at other campuses.

Immigration Status:

This role does not qualify for a sponsored Skilled Worker visa under the points-based immigration system. However, applications are welcome from candidates who do not currently have the right to work in the UK but could obtain a visa through another route.
