Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Specialist Pharmacist to join the pulmonary rehabilitation team in Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and support the development of innovative services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage a complex clinical caseload, providing specialist nutrition and dietetic advice to patients with pulmonary rehabilitation needs.
  • Work independently with patients, using highly developed communication skills to negotiate, counsel, and implement behavioral change therapy.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based nutrition and dietetic interventions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice on nutrition support and weight management for patients with respiratory conditions, working closely with respiratory consultants and specialist nurses.
Requirements
  • B.Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent qualification.
  • Post-registration training in a relevant area.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Experience of working as a Specialist Dietitian in Nutrition and Dietetics within a specialist area.
  • Experience of supervising and mentoring staff.
Desirable Criteria
  • Recognised management/leadership qualification.
  • Recognised teaching qualification.
  • Student clinical educators course.
  • Knowledge and experience working within pulmonary rehabilitation.
