Learning Disability Nurse Role

The Community Learning Disability Nursing service on Skye and Lochalsh has an opening for a part-time learning disability nurse. This opportunity enables an experienced nurse to work within a service supporting individuals with a learning disability throughout their lifespan in a remote area.

You will provide innovative community nursing services for people with a Learning Disability in close collaboration with family, carers, community learning disability team colleagues, and other agencies within the defined geographical area.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality community nursing services for individuals with a Learning Disability.
  • Collaborate closely with family, carers, and community learning disability team colleagues.
  • Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Suitable qualification and experience as a learning disability nurse.
  • Current valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances.
Working Conditions:

NHS Scotland has reduced its full-time working week from 37 hours. This reduction applies pro-rata for part-time staff.

Salary and Benefits:
  • Competitive salary: $53,000 per annum (pro-rata).
