About the Role:

We are seeking a caring and nurturing individual to join our team as a Special Educational Needs Support Assistant. As a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with learning disabilities in the classroom and during activities such as cooking, swimming, and sensory play.
  • Assist with personal care and mobility support, as well as provide emotional support to all students.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children and/or adults with disabilities is desirable, but not essential.
  • A passion for special educational needs and a commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
