The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Raw Material Specialist. This role involves supporting R&D and Suppliers in managing raw material data, while also being aware of key chemical legislations.

This 12-month position comes with comprehensive training, which will equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in your career. You will work closely with our R&D team to ensure compliance with regulations and provide technical expertise on chemicals for product assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Awareness of key chemical legislations (CLP, REACH, GPSR, CSR).
  • Communicate with raw material suppliers to request data, including Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and Technical Data Sheets (TDSs).
  • Understand scientific data from SDSs and external data (e.g. ECHA), such as substance or mixture classifications.
  • Understand toxicology to process and analyse data for business decision making.
  • Provide technical regulatory expertise on chemicals for product assessments.
  • Update and maintain data on pure substances and raw materials within systems.
  • Monitor regulatory impacts on chemicals and their effect on products.
