Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic / Mechanical Fitter to join our team at AMETEK MRO. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for disassembling and inspecting hydraulic and mechanical components, carrying out assembly and testing, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Disassemble and inspect hydraulic and mechanical components to identify wear, damage, or corrosion
  • Carry out assembly and testing of hydraulic and mechanical assemblies, components, and systems
  • Populate and complete computer-generated documentation and reports
  • Support the test bay engineer in testing hydraulic and pneumatic units
  • Maintain and ensure implementation of standard operating practices and procedures
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and regulations
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained in accordance with CAA, EASA, FAA, and company procedures
Requirements
  • Background in mechanical or hydraulic engineering
  • Numerate and literate – minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
  • High level of numeracy and literacy, with ability to interpret and follow compliance manuals
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, maintaining high quality and compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Strong analytical, administrative, and organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communicator (written and verbal)
  • Well-organized and self-motivated
