SEN Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking an experienced SEN teaching assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a SEN teaching assistant, you will be working with a non-verbal pupil with Down syndrome, providing support and care in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to a non-verbal pupil with Down syndrome
  • Assist with behavioral management and SEN/SEMH requirements
  • Work collaboratively with the school team to develop and implement support plans
  • Communicate effectively with the pupil, parents, and school staff
Requirements:
  • Experience working with SEN pupils, particularly those with Down syndrome
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral management and SEN/SEMH requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
