Job Title: Pharmacy Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a hospital or community pharmacy setting and hold their NVQ level in Pharmacy services or equivalent.

The salary for this position is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the smooth running of an assigned area under direction of our Senior technician.
  • Support the training of pharmacy apprentices, trainee technicians and pharmacists working alongside you.
  • Support the Churchill Hospital dispensary with labelling and dispensing discharge prescriptions, in-patient medication, clinical trial and controlled drug requests.
  • Receipt deliveries and be involved in stock management procedures including expiry date checking and processing drugs returned from inside the hospital.
  • Answer the phone to our service users, and cover reception, requiring excellent customer service and communication skills.

This is a part-time position, hours per week Mon-Friday, with working hours between 08:00-18:00, flexible working options would also be considered. You will also be required to participate in weekend working on a rota basis, bank holiday, early and late duty rotas as per rota.
