About the Role

Nuffield Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to join our team at The Manor Hospital in Oxford. As a Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the pharmacy team, ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines across the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and advice on medicines management to ensure that processes across all clinical departments are safe, cost-effective, and legal.
  • Lead the pharmacy team in providing excellent leadership, motivating, and effectively managing the team.
  • As the Antimicrobial Stewardship Lead, optimise the management of antimicrobials to minimise the occurrence of hospital-acquired infections.
  • Ensure the pharmacy team undertakes daily ward rounds, reconciling medication for new inpatients, counselling patients, and managing PODs.
  • Assist and lead the team in facilitating timely and informed discharge of patients returning to primary care.
  • Lead on the implementation of medication safety alerts and drug recalls for the hospital.

Requirements

  • Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Experience of working in a clinical setting as a Pharmacist is essential.
  • Leadership/managerial experience in a Pharmacy setting.
  • Awareness and knowledge of Oncology Pharmacy.
