Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Support Specialist to join our team at a reputable school in Havering. As a key member of the support staff, you will be responsible for providing tailored assistance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess experience working with children, preferably those with SEN. A degree in Psychology or a related field from a top UK university is highly desirable. The successful applicant will have confidence in managing SEN students one-on-one and in small groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualised support to students with SEN, enhancing their learning experience
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement effective strategies and assist with EHCP processes
  • Work with a diverse range of SEN students, adapting support to meet individual needs
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum 2:1 degree in Psychology or a related field from a top UK university
  • Experience working with children, ideally those with SEN
  • One-on-one experience with SEN students is preferable
