**Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our commercial office building in East London.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to service desk reactive tasks as directed in accordance with SLAs
  • Assist in ensuring plant rooms are tidy and presentable, reporting any issues for rectification
  • Undertake reactive maintenance, minor works, and public health maintenance, including blocked toilets
  • Investigate and rectify hot and cold air conditioning complaints, including operation of the Building Management System (BMS) and Lighting Control System (LCS)
  • Complete water treatment tasks in accordance with L8, utilizing water treatment logbooks as directed by the Responsible Person(s), and report any issues without delay
  • Undertake minor fabric maintenance works, covering areas such as painting, furniture moving, etc., and ensure that any materials required to complete tasks are ordered in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Carry out minor mechanical installations, as and when requested and supervised
  • Identify, manage, and report any risks, accidents, or near misses in a timely manner
  • Work with and escort contractors during maintenance visits, ensuring that working guidelines are always followed and assisting with the quarterly inspection undertaken by the water treatment consultant
  • Respond quickly and effectively to any building alarms received from the helpdesk or BMS, and escalate alarms where necessary, recording all reactive tasks in the shift log
  • Uphold the integrity of the company at all times and ensure provision of high levels of customer service

**Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 (40 hour week)

**Requirements:

  • Electrically or Mechanically qualified Level 3 / HNC / HND
  • 18th Edition if electrically qualified
  • You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Excellent customer skills

**Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Any further qualifications (i.e., Electrical or Air Conditioning etc)
  • Experience working in a bank / data centre / commercial Office
  • High Voltage - Experience / Qualification - Current or expired
  • Previous experience in a day and night shift pattern
