Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our commercial office building in Aldgate, East London.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and fabric duties.
  • Respond to service desk reactive tasks in accordance with SLAs.
  • Assist in maintaining plant rooms, reporting any issues for rectification.
  • Investigate and rectify hot and cold air conditioning complaints, including operation of the Building Management System (BMS) and Lighting Control System (LCS).
  • Complete water treatment tasks in accordance with L8, utilizing water treatment logbooks as directed.
  • Undertake minor fabric maintenance works, including painting, furniture moving, and ordering materials as needed.
  • Carry out minor mechanical installations, as requested and supervised.
  • Identify, manage, and report any risks, accidents, or near misses in a timely manner.
  • Work with and escort contractors during maintenance visits, ensuring adherence to working guidelines.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to building alarms received from the helpdesk or BMS, escalating alarms where necessary and recording reactive tasks in the shift log.
Requirements:
  • Mechanically or electrically qualified to Level 3 or HNC/HND.
  • 18th Edition certification if electrically qualified.
  • Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
  • Excellent customer skills.
