Job Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Volunteer Mentor to join our team in the South West region. As a Volunteer Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who are seeking to turn their lives around and achieve their goals. You will work closely with our participants, providing personalized support and guidance to help them overcome challenges and build a brighter future.

Key Responsibilities

As a Volunteer Mentor, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing emotional support and guidance to participants
  • Assisting participants in accessing resources and services to achieve their goals
  • Encouraging participants to engage with appointments and activities
  • Supporting participants in filling out forms and accessing benefits
  • Reporting any issues related to participant behavior
  • Participating in regular supervision sessions with the volunteer coordinator
  • Completing feedback notes after each support session
Skills and Experience

We are looking for individuals who possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with participants. You should also have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of empathy and understanding.

Previous experience in a similar role or in a related field is desirable, but not essential. What is essential is your passion for supporting others and making a positive impact on their lives.
