Job Role

As a Volunteer Mentor at Seetec Business Technology Centre, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in the South West region. Your primary responsibility will be to provide personalized, one-to-one support to help participants achieve their goals and overcome challenges. This may involve assisting with daily tasks, encouraging engagement with appointments, and helping participants access resources to improve their lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide practical and emotional support to participants
  • Encourage engagement with appointments and activities
  • Support participants in accessing resources and services
  • Report any issues related to participant behavior
  • Engage in regular supervision sessions with the volunteer coordinator
  • Complete feedback notes after each support session
Skills and Experience
  • Effective listening and communication skills
  • Ability to keep commitments and appointments
  • Initiative to identify and access relevant resources
  • Confidentiality and professionalism
  • Positive behavior and role modeling
  • Non-judgmental and open-minded approach
  • Basic IT skills
