We are seeking a dedicated Community Support Worker to join our team at Sense, supporting children and young people with their social programme of activities.

This permanent role will involve working 10 hours per week in Solihull, with a morning call required for 1 hour and community activities from 4pm-7pm on weekdays and 10am-2pm on weekends.

As a Community Support Worker, you will provide 1-1 support to a child with Autism and Learning difficulties, enabling them to access the community and participate in sensory activities.

You will also support and engage in activities the child enjoys, such as visiting parks and going swimming.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • To support individuals/groups within the centre and community
  • To provide a customized, responsive, and high-quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical, and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services
  • To deliver services that meet or exceed organizational expectations and standards

Your Required Skills and Experience:

  • A full UK license and willingness/ability to drive your own vehicle is essential
  • Experience of working with an individual who has Autism is desirable
