Senior Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our Devon Youth Justice team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mental health services to children and young people with complex needs.
Working closely with colleagues in a multi-disciplinary team, you will develop strong working relationships across agencies to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children, young people, and their carers/families. You will be able to adapt your communication and intervention style to meet individual needs, and have knowledge of child development and child protection procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality comprehensive mental health services to children and young people with complex mental health difficulties and their parents/carers.
- Manage a defined caseload, providing expert assessment and evidence-based treatment.
- Contribute to the multi-disciplinary approach of the team, providing integrated healthcare for children across Devon Partnership NHS Trust.
- Work with, and offer supervision/consultation/advice to others, bringing professional expertise, skills, and knowledge to multi-disciplinary team work.
- Substantial experience of managing an extensive and complex caseload and working with children/young people presenting with a range of complex mental health presentations.
- Working within a community CAMHS mental health setting.
- Professional registration/accreditation with a recognised body, e.g. NMC, HCPC, Social Work England, UKCP, BABCP.
