We are seeking a skilled Hand Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital. As a Hand Therapist, you will play a key role in helping our patients recover to the level of health and wellbeing that they aspire to.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a complex clinical caseload of hand therapy patients referred from Consultants, GP's, PMI's or self referrals, as well as post-operative patients.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, AHP's and consultants, exercising a high degree of professional autonomy and integrity.
- Liaise closely with our orthopaedic hand surgeons, running clinics alongside them.
- Deliver high quality, effective clinical care, adhering to our values and beliefs at Nuffield Health.
- Ensure on-going monitoring of the standard of treatment provided, participating in clinical audit and other quality assurance processes.
Requirements:
- BSc in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or equivalent and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in the field of hand therapy, with experience of leading a service desirable.
- Excellent hand therapy and splinting skills, with the ability to demonstrate evidence of further professional hand therapy specific training and continual professional development.

Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital is a 30 bedded, CQC 'outstanding' rated hospital within walking distance of the city centre, providing a range of services including orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, general surgery, plastic surgery, ophthalmology max fax, and pain. We provide outpatient services for dermatology, cardiology, neurology, and rheumatology, as well as physiotherapy services at both the hospital and the Nuffield Health fitness and wellbeing centre at Chichester Gate.
