Art Collection Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Collections Officer to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day care of our art collection, ensuring it is well maintained, catalogued, and accessible to the hospital community.
The Collections Officer will also take an active role in growing the collection, ensuring it is relevant and reflective of our hospital community. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and creative environment, collaborating with artists, staff, and patients to bring art to life in our hospital.
Main Duties- Manage the day-to-day care of the art collection, including cataloguing, conservation, and installation.
- Develop and implement creative interventions to bring the collection to life, including temporary displays and exhibitions.
- Grow the collection by identifying and acquiring new artworks that reflect the hospital community.
- Collaborate with artists, staff, and patients to develop and deliver creative projects.
- Manage the collection's digital presence, including online catalogues and social media.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual with a passion for art and collections management. The successful candidate will have:
- A degree in Arts or Humanities, or equivalent experience.
- 2 years' experience in curatorial or collections management roles.
- Experience of art handling, installation, and conservation.
- Knowledge of collections management software, including E Hive.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
