Sales Ledger Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales Ledger Clerk to join our team at IPS Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the sales ledger function, performing effective credit control, and ensuring accurate records of all sales transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Generate and issue invoices to customers in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales transactions, including payments received and discrepancies.
- Set up new customer accounts in our accounting system and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Reconcile the sales ledger with the general ledger on a regular basis.
- Provide aged debtor analysis and other relevant reports to management.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with customers for payment, implementing collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts.
- Send statements and reminders to ensure timely payment.
- Proven experience in sales ledger and credit control.
- Confident communicator with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
