We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Ledger Clerk to join our team at IPS Group, a leading provider of accountancy and finance services. As a Sales Ledger Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing the sales ledger function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of sales transactions.
This is a full-time office-based role, and your main duties will include:
- Generating and issuing invoices to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintaining accurate records of all sales transactions, including customer accounts and payment history.
- Setting up new customer accounts in our accounting system and ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Matching payments received with the corresponding invoices and reconciling the sales ledger with the general ledger.
- Investigating and resolving any discrepancies or errors in sales transactions.
- Providing aged debtor analysis and other relevant reports to management.
- Monitoring outstanding balances and following up with customers for payment in a professional and courteous manner.
- Implementing collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts and ensure timely payment.
- Sending statements and reminders to customers to ensure timely payment.
About you:
- You will have proven experience in sales ledger and credit control, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- You will be a confident communicator, with excellent written and verbal skills.
- You will be well-organized, with high attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
Salary: £27,000 per annum, plus annual leave and private pension.
