We are seeking a skilled Sales Ledger Clerk to support our business in managing the sales ledger function and performing effective credit control. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing company.
This is a full-time office-based role with a focus on generating and issuing invoices to customers, maintaining accurate records of sales transactions, and setting up new customer accounts in the accounting system.
Main duties of the role:
- Generate and issue invoices to customers
- Maintain accurate records of all sales transactions
- Set up new customer accounts in the accounting system
- Match payments received with the corresponding invoices
- Reconcile the sales ledger with the general ledger
- Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are investigated and resolved
- Provide aged debtor analysis and other relevant reports
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with customers for payment
- Implement collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts
- Send statements and reminders to ensure timely payment
About you:
- Proven experience in sales ledger and credit control
- Confident communicator with strong organizational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
Salary: £27,000 per annum, plus annual leave and private pension. IPS Group has 40 years' experience in the accountancy recruitment market, providing long-term relationships with individuals and clients in all sectors.
