Salisbury, Wiltshire, United Kingdom Academics Ltd Full time

We are seeking a Psychology Graduate to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant at a Specialist School in Salisbury. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work with children with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language needs, sensory processing disorders, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties. Your role will involve learning about the cognitive, behavioural, and emotional needs of each student and how to attend to these. You will help identify triggers and barriers to learning, as well as implementing your knowledge of psychological theory in the classroom. This may be in small groups or on a 1-2-1 basis. Your primary goal will be to ensure every pupil feels safe and supported in school, and to help make the classroom a fun and exciting place.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Psychology Graduate looking to gain experience working with vulnerable children. You will have the chance to network with Psychologists, Therapists, Counsellors, and Speech & Language Teams, granting you first-hand experience that will set you apart from other graduates. This role is also ideal for those considering a future in teaching or education.
