Michael Page (UK) is seeking a highly skilled IT professional to join their team as a Head of IT.

Job Description

This is a pivotal role in leading and executing IT strategies to enhance operational efficiency, drive business growth, and ensure seamless technology integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and Planning:
  • Engage with global teams to assess technology options and develop business cases.
  • Gather IT data for value creation planning and define business cases with various stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business objectives for the UK and Ireland.
  • Communicate IT vision, strategy, and initiatives to business leadership.
  • Ensure accurate and transparent IT cost models.
  • Collaborate on the annual GIS budget plan and provide financial reporting.
  • Assist in forecasting and planning future IT needs.
  • Management:
  • Ensure SLA performance aligns with business goals and communicate with leadership.
  • Handle local vendor and contract management.
  • Oversee IT project pipeline and ensure successful implementation.
  • Lead and mentor IT teams, fostering innovation and collaboration.
  • Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security protocols.

Business Solutions:

  • Liaise across UK & Ireland business units, IT teams, and external IT partners.
  • Embody company values and ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.
  • Drive digital transformation to enhance productivity, customer experience, and competitive advantage.
  • Assess technology needs, prioritize projects, and allocate resources effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic IT guidance to senior management.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Over 8 years of IT and Business/Industry work.
  • A proven track record of implementing change to a business through wide-scale strategic planning.
  • Experience with a broad range of exposure to various technical environments and business analysis.
  • Experience and understanding in business process management, with an ability to translate business needs into IT-enabled solutions.
  • Experience in project definition and scoping, formulation of feasibility studies, and benefits cases.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English.
