Job Title: Methane Cycle Analyst

We are seeking a skilled analyst to join the FETCH4 team and contribute to our understanding of the methane cycle. As a Methane Cycle Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing large datasets and developing new methods to improve our representation of the methane feedback mechanism in climate models.

FETCH4 is a collaborative project between the University of Washington and the University of Rochester. We are looking for a talented individual with expertise in atmospheric science, computational mathematics, or computer science to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Developing and implementing new methods for analyzing methane data.
  2. Collaborating with the FETCH4 team to advance our understanding of the methane cycle.
  3. Presenting research findings to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • A PhD in a relevant field or at least three years of relevant research experience.
  • Expertise in atmospheric science, computational mathematics, or computer science.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
