Geologist for Materials Assessment

We are seeking an experienced geology/geomaterials scientist to join our Geomaterials Department. The role would be based in our London laboratories and may include occasional site work in London, the UK, and occasionally overseas.
Key Responsibilities:- Microscopical analysis of both natural and man-made materials
- Investigating and testing construction materials, both natural, such as rock, stone, slate, and aggregate; and man-made, such as concrete, render, plaster, and mortar
- Assisting with on-site testing and investigations
- Laboratory testing to ensure that materials comply with the relevant specifications
- Client liaison and project management
- Collating and analyzing test data, preparing test reports
- Mineralogical and elemental analysis using SEM and XRD
- 5 or more years of experience in geology or materials science
- Ideal candidate should be a Chartered Geologist
- Experience in writing technical reports
- Ability to learn new skills and techniques within the testing and consultancy side of the business
