Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team at Reed. As an HR Generalist, you will play a key role in supporting the HR Director, UK and EMEAI, in planning, developing, recommending, and implementing human resources activities, policies, and procedures throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staffing Activities: Assist with staffing activities, maintaining records to conform to UK regulations, and fulfilling equal opportunities responsibilities.
  • Training and Development: Support training and employee development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Performance Management: Contribute to performance appraisal programs to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity.
  • HR Compliance: Help ensure HR functions comply with legal requirements and government reporting regulations.
  • Policy Implementation: Assist with the implementation of HR policies and procedures; maintain the Employee Handbook.
  • Record Keeping: Manage department records and report filing, including HR, Health and Safety, and Environmental data.
  • Employee Onboarding: Conduct inductions for new starters and process leavers.
  • Meetings and Committees: Attend meetings as the HR representative and assist with the Health & Safety and Green Committees.
  • Compensation and Payroll: Support the administration of compensation programs and assist with payroll administration.
  • Benefits Administration: Respond to benefits-related inquiries and participate in annual open enrolment communication and audits.
Requirements
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Independence and Initiative: Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Technical Skills: Good working knowledge of the MS Office suite; experience with Sage HR is advantageous.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to establish and reassess priorities and work to deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build great working relationships at all levels.
  • Continuous Improvement: Committed to continuous improvement.
  • Qualifications: Working towards or willing to start working towards a CIPD Qualification.
  • HR Experience: Previous HR experience is advantageous.
