Research Associate in Compressed Air Energy Storage System

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our dynamic research team at The University of Manchester. As part of a multidisciplinary research project funded by EPSRC, you will contribute to the development of a near-isothermal co-generation compressed air energy storage (CAES) system.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with researchers from Imperial College London and the University of Birmingham, as well as 18 industrial partners, including EDF-Energy, Arup, and Siemens-Energy. You will be responsible for performing thermodynamic and experimental studies to design and build the near-isothermal co-generation CAES system using liquid piston compressor/expander technology.
