Research Associate in Compressed Air Energy Storage System

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our dynamic research team at The University of Manchester. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary research project funded by EPSRC, aiming to develop a near-isothermal co-generation compressed air energy storage (CAES) system.

The Research Associate will work closely with our team of academics, postdoctoral researchers, and PhD students to design and build the near-isothermal co-generation CAES system using liquid piston compressor/expander technology. The project brings together researchers from The University of Manchester, Imperial College London, and the University of Birmingham, with 18 industrial partners, including EDF-Energy, Arup, and Siemens-Energy.
