Cost Manager

We are seeking a skilled Cost Manager to join our Real Estate team in Birmingham. As a Cost Manager, you will work with a variety of clients and across multiple iconic projects in the region.
The successful candidate will have a keen interest in construction and a good knowledge of the industry, whether from a Main Contracting or PQS background. You will possess an outgoing and collaborative approach, guiding the contractor and client through the process on a number of high-profile projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in feasibility studies and write procurement reports
- Estimate and cost plan, including producing and presenting the final cost plan
- Tender and procure, including managing the pre-qualification stage
- Deal with post-contract cost variances and change control processes
- Take personal responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects
- Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present them to the client
- Negotiate and agree final accounts
- Interface with the client and other consultants at all project stages
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management/quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle
- Professionally qualified (RICS or similar)
- Degree or HNC level qualification
