Cost Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Manager to join our Real Estate team at Turner & Townsend Group. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients and contractors to deliver high-quality projects in the Birmingham area.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of construction principles and a keen interest in cost management. You will work collaboratively with leading conservators, architects, and engineers to ensure that clients and contractors deliver the best value for money.
Key Responsibilities:
- Feasibility Studies: Assist in conducting feasibility studies and writing procurement reports to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Cost Planning: Develop and present cost plans to ensure that projects are properly costed and that clients are aware of potential risks and opportunities.
- Tendering and Procurement: Manage the tendering and procurement process, including pre-qualification and contract negotiation.
- Cost Variance Management: Identify and manage cost variances and changes to ensure that projects are delivered within budget.
- Cost Reporting: Produce and present regular cost reports to clients to ensure that they are informed of project progress and any potential issues.
- Final Accounts: Negotiate and agree final accounts with clients and contractors to ensure that all parties are satisfied with the outcome.
Requirements:
- Professional Qualifications: Be professionally qualified (RICS or similar) and have a degree or HNC level qualification in a relevant field.
- Experience: Have a proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management services across the full project lifecycle.
