Job Title: Head Registered Veterinary Nurse

Location: Whitton, Greater London

Job Type: Full Time

Working Hours: 40 hours over 5 days with 1:6 weekends

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per year

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team as Head Registered Veterinary Nurse. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for delivering exceptional patient care and will be responsible for leading our veterinary nursing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the veterinary nursing team, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure high standards of care
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Ensure accurate records and manage client communications
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior nurses to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety protocols
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of the veterinary department, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes

Requirements:

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine and active license to practice in the UK
  • Strong diagnostic, surgical, and medical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to animal care
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
