Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Therapeutic Consultant with expertise in HIV treatment and management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the latest developments in HIV research and a proven track record of success in sales and marketing.

About the Role

The Therapeutic Consultant will be responsible for achieving coverage and frequency targets, consistently achieving sales targets in assigned territory, and promoting Gilead's products and services to healthcare professionals. They will also work collaboratively with Medical Science Liaisons, National Account Managers, Marketing, and other internal team members on various cross-functional projects related to specific accounts or physicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent Gilead's products and services to a defined customer base within a specific geographic area
  • Utilize product and therapeutic disease working knowledge to promote the appropriate use of Gilead products to healthcare professionals
  • Prepare business plans for own territory, assign targets, and communicate required actions to achieve goals
  • Initiate systems to monitor sales progress and action plans, and regularly measure success, document, and provide feedback on performance
  • Work collaboratively with outside partner companies to co-promote products or services, represent company at professional events, and promote company products at such events
  • Manage territory budgets for customer contacts, speaker events, and other miscellaneous external expenditures
  • Assist in the identification and resolution of issues and opportunities, and communicate proactively to marketing and sales management
  • Complete necessary administrative tasks in a timely manner, e.g., updating customer database, expenses

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant sales experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Prior experience in the HIV therapeutic area highly desirable
  • Achievement of any mandatory country-specific pharmaceutical sales certifications essential
