Maidenhead, Windsor and Maidenhead, United Kingdom Academics Ltd Full time
Job Description:

A prestigious Academics Ltd school in Maidenhead is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Assistant to provide essential support to vulnerable students.

The ideal candidate will possess experience working with children who struggle with learning difficulties, demonstrating a passion for making a positive impact.

This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work closely with students on a 1:1 basis, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals through encouraging classroom participation and independence.

In addition to supporting students, the successful applicant will also assist teachers in maintaining a smooth classroom environment, setting up for lessons, clearing up afterwards, and participating in outdoor activities such as PE or outdoor learning.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting students with various learning disabilities and ASD
  • Working with a small class size and supportive team
  • Providing therapy alongside education to aid student development
  • Assisting teachers with lesson setup and outdoor activities

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, candidates should have a strong background in working with children, preferably in a classroom setting. A positive attitude and commitment to making a difference are essential qualities for success in this role.

While prior experience working with children with learning difficulties is desirable, it is not mandatory. What matters most is a genuine passion for education and a willingness to learn and grow with the students.

Benefits:

This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary of £80-£95 per day, depending on experience. As a valued member of the Academics Ltd team, you will enjoy full-time or part-time options, contributing to the growth and well-being of your students.

You will have the chance to work in a supportive and inclusive environment, surrounded by a dedicated team of professionals who share your passion for education and child development.

Whether you are a psychology graduate looking to expand your experience or an aspiring educational psychologist, this role presents an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives.

We encourage applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds and skills, including those with expertise in art, music, or sports.
