About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandising Specialist to join our FMCG Buying team at B&M Retail. As a Merchandising Specialist, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and profitability across our product ranges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to ensure stock levels are maintained throughout the year.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create weekly core stock orders and manage orders into the business efficiently.
  • Drive performance during key trading periods, such as new product launches and seasonal peaks.
  • Analyze data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and make informed decisions.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key suppliers to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Manage and update product information, including WSSI's and Line cards, on a daily basis.
  • Work closely with the sales team to forecast and plan for future product needs.
  • Utilize data analysis skills to inform business decisions and drive growth.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a merchandising or inventory management role.
  • Results-driven with a track record of achieving targets and delivering growth.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to work with data to inform business decisions.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
