We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandising Specialist to join our team at Montirex LTD., a leading outdoor sports performance brand. As a key member of our merchandising team, you will play a crucial role in planning and trading multiple categories to maximize performance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough trading analysis to identify key performance indicators, including stock, profit, and markdown.
- Review product performance at the individual level, making informed recommendations to optimize sales and minimize risks.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to support the merchandising team and drive business growth.
- Manage line cards to ensure optimal core availability, suggesting and implementing rebuys of core styles.
- Develop and manage a Weekly Sales and Stock Initiative (WSSI) at the sub-category level, forecasting demand, OTB, returns, and margin while identifying opportunities and potential risks.
- Coordinate critical path, stock ordering, and delivery schedules, working closely with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries for launches.
- Conduct in-depth seasonal analysis to inform strategy and lessons learned for future seasons, in collaboration with the product team.
- Contribute to the development of category-level frameworks and product mix plans to drive business growth.
- Support the merchandising team with product selections and range building.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure overall business objectives are met.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
About You:
- Proven experience in fashion retail merchandising, preferably as an Assistant Merchandiser or Junior Merchandiser.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced planning and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to suggest calculated risks.
- High level of accuracy.
- Strong customer awareness and understanding.
- Passion for product and market awareness.
- Enthusiasm and determination to thrive in a fast-growing business.
