We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandising Specialist to join our team at Montirex LTD., a leading outdoor sports performance brand. As a key member of our merchandising team, you will play a crucial role in planning and trading multiple categories to maximize performance.
Key Responsibilities- Trading Analysis: Conduct weekly trading analysis to provide key performance indicators on stock, profit, and markdown.
- Product Review: Review over and under performance at product level, making informed recommendations to ensure potential is met and risks are managed.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct detailed ad-hoc analysis to support the merchandising team and wider business.
- Line Card Management: Review and manage line cards to ensure core availability, suggesting and managing rebuys of core styles.
- Seasonal Planning: Plan and manage seasonal forecasting, demand, OTB, returns, and margin, identifying opportunities and potential risks to stock.
- Supply Chain Management: Manage critical path, stock ordering process, and delivery schedules, working closely with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Category Development: Assist in creating category-level frameworks and product mix plans to drive business growth.
- Product Selection: Support the merchandising team with product selections and range building.
- Team Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with the wider business to ensure overall business objectives are met.
- Junior Development: Support the development and management of junior members of the team.
- Experience: Specific experience in fashion retail merchandising, either as an established Assistant Merchandiser or already working at Junior Merchandiser level.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, advanced planning and analytical skills, including strong Excel skills.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Judgment: Good judgment and decision-making skills, confidence in suggesting calculated risks.
- Accuracy: High level of accuracy, strong customer awareness and understanding.
- Passion: Passionate about product, strong market and brand awareness, enthusiasm and determination to thrive in a fast-growing business.
