Mediplacements is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 7 Paediatric Dietitian to work at a leading hospital in Berkshire.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced dietitian with expertise in paediatric diabetes to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing children with diabetes and providing high-quality, evidence-based specialist dietetic services.

The salary for this position is £28-£35 per hour, and we offer a competitive remuneration package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide a specialist dietetic service for children and their families/carers attending the Paediatric Department.
  • To lead on planning, co-ordinating, delivering, developing, and evaluating the dietetic service to patients referred for dietetic advice from Paediatric diabetes services.
  • To plan, co-ordinate, and deliver nutrition/dietetic training of professional and support staff and be a lead source of knowledge and expertise in the paediatric diabetes MDT.
  • To contribute to the delivery of a trust-wide dietetic service and participate in all Nutrition and Dietetic departmental activities.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Dietetics or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of managing children with diabetes.
  • Strong background in applying the dietetic process to include dietetic assessment, interpretation, individual care planning, motivation, monitoring, and evaluation of highly specialised dietetic treatments.
  • UK Driving License/Use of a car for work essential.
