About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our OMFS team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership across North Manchester General Hospital and outreach sites, delivering personalized care and developing clinical research to advance the field of oral maxillofacial surgery.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients with oral and maxillofacial conditions, including dental implants, orthognathic surgeries, TMJ disorders, facial trauma, and facial reconstructive surgeries.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical governance policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, including residents, fellows, and medical students, to develop the next generation of OMFS specialists.

Requirements
  • Full registration with the GMC.
  • A valid License to Practise with the GMC.
  • MBChB or equivalent.
  • Intercollegiate Exit FRCS (OMFS) or equivalent training and experience.
  • Entry onto the Specialist Register or a Specialist Registrar within 6 months of the award of their CCT in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
