About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Acis Group. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a positive health and safety culture throughout the organization, promoting a culture of awareness and responsibility.
  2. Monitor and maintain compliance with corporate occupational health, safety, and regulatory measures, ensuring the highest levels of safety and compliance.
  3. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure health and safety performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  4. Support the Health and Safety Advisor in the delivery of health and safety training and awareness programs, ensuring all employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills to work safely.
  5. Provide health and safety leadership and guidance to the Health and Safety Steering Group, contributing to the development of a high-performing health and safety culture.
  6. Collaborate with line managers and senior managers to assess and improve health and safety performance, ensuring employees and managers take active responsibility for their own safety.
  7. Investigate and manage accidents, incidents, and near-misses, ensuring suitable and sufficient corrective and preventative actions are taken.
  8. Conduct regular inspections and investigations, working with the Health and Safety Advisor to ensure inspections and investigations are conducted to a high standard.
  9. Develop and deliver health and safety compliance courses and toolbox talks to ensure essential learning and safety updates are in place for employees.
  10. Lead the organization in achieving ISO45001 accreditation, ensuring we maintain a high level of health and safety performance.
Requirements
  1. IOSH membership
  2. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent professional qualification in Health and Safety Management
  3. Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice
  4. Experience of leading health and safety and managing health and safety risk
  5. A passion for health and safety and the drive to progress
  6. Knowledge of health and safety regulations, quality management systems, and industry standards
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive and flexible approach
  8. The ability to influence and engage with all levels of the organization
  9. Proficient use of IT systems, including Word and Excel
