Health and Safety Manager

The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and implementing Health and Safety systems within the Group, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
The role will support the Director of Governance, Risk and Compliance in all Health and Safety aspects, developing, maintaining, monitoring, and coordinating Health and Safety policies and procedures, audits, and risk assessments across the Group.
Key Objectives- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and regulations on behalf of the Group.
- Promote a positive Health and Safety culture within the Group.
- Manage all aspects of health and safety matters within the Group, including risk assessments, audits, health and safety policies and procedures, including fire safety and first aid.
- Responsible for maintaining, improving, monitoring, and evaluation, and where required, implementation of new Group policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance, including health and safety development.
- Development and monitoring of Health and Safety training across the Group.
- Ensure risk assessments are carried out and recorded in line with all health and safety requirements and a culture of positive risk management is embedded across the Group.
- Ensure all employees comply with health and safety legislation, and all practices and procedures are conducted in a way that meets the relevant requirements for the wellbeing of others.
- Understand, demonstrate, and promote the Company's Genetic Code.
- Assist with induction, training, and mentorship of new employees.
- Manage confidential data in line with the UK GDPR and Data Security.
- Contribute ideas and suggestions to continuously improve the Customer & Employee Experience.
- Assist with colleagues' work during absences.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
- To comply with Data Protection Legislation and Information Security requirements, such as ISO 27001.
- To ensure commitment to impartiality, confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of information.
- Adhering to policy, procedure, regulatory, customer, and standard requirements relating to quality, information security, and environmental management systems.
