Teaching Assistant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide support to children in a school setting, working closely with the Class Teacher and other professionals to enhance learning outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a nurturing and calm approach to build relationships with children.
  • Communicate with families/carers to provide feedback about children's progress.
  • Support children with additional needs, including those with SEMH requirements.
  • Deliver small intervention groups and Phonics sessions.
  • Assist with classroom management and use effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, fun, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
  • A good understanding of the EYFS, KS1, or KS2 curriculum.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Experience supporting children with SEMH needs.
  • Excellent Safeguarding knowledge.
