Job Title: General Teaching Assistant - SEMH Provision

We are seeking a dedicated and caring General Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary SEMH Provision, supporting children aged 5-11 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in managing and engaging pupils with challenging behaviours.
  • Assist with classroom activities and ensure all pupils are included in learning.
  • Provide additional 1:1 or group support where necessary.
  • Help promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children, ideally in an SEMH or SEN setting.
  • A caring, patient, and resilient attitude.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A passion for supporting children's learning and development.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with the potential for long-term placement. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check and provide references.
