Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Automotive Reliability Engineer to join our team at Semtech Corporation. As a key member of our design center, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of our automotive semiconductor products.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute reliability qualification plans for new products, processes, and customer requests.
  2. Analyze reliability data and create formal reports to identify areas for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reliability qualification failures and provide recommendations for improvement.
  4. Predict product reliability levels and perform lifetime calculations based on reliability stress test results and ongoing reliability monitoring data.
  5. Work with design and test engineering teams to design and manufacture high-temperature operating life (HTOL) and highly accelerated stress test (HAST) boards for reliability qualifications.
  6. Assist in the disposition of manufacturing lots held due to issues that may affect product reliability.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry standards and revisions that may impact reliability qualification stress conditions.
  8. Respond to customer requests for qualification data, FIT rates, and other product reliability engineering-related data and inquiries.
  9. Represent the team in New Product Introduction (NPI) meetings and ensure successful delivery of reliability commitments.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics, Electrical or Electronics Engineering. Master's degree and PhD in a related field would be an advantage.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in semiconductor product reliability engineering, including drafting reliability qualification plans and reports, and performing field lifetime calculations.
  3. Strong knowledge of industry standards such as JESD47, JEP122, JS-001/02, AEC-Q100/101/006, etc.
  4. Strong knowledge of IC fabrication and Assembly/Test, semiconductor physics, BJT and MOSFET theories, and basic circuit configurations.
